FORMER RESEARCH SCHOLAR
AND ARTIST IN RESIDENCE,

About the Artist

LAWRENCE SHEAFF earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Painting, Lithography, and Etching from Ealing College of Art in London, his Master’s Degree in Maharishi Vedic Science from Maharishi University of Management, USA, and his PhD in the Science of Creative Intelligence from Maharishi European Research University, Holland.

In 1971 Lawrence became a teacher of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation technique (the practical aspect of Maharishi Vedic Science). In that same year he was invited to form and direct the international design team of Maharishi’s worldwide organization.

Giving visual expression to the organization’s promotional and educational materials allowed Lawrence the immeasurable privilege of a continuous interaction with Maharishi over a period of eighteen years. It was in this working process that Lawrence was drawn deeply into the knowledge of Maharishi Vedic Science.

Maharishi Vedic Science is offered as the total knowledge of natural law for our scientific age. It has been thoroughly integrated with all the latest findings of modern science. This knowledge has provided the inspiration and the framework for Lawrence’s re-evaluation of the visual arts in absolute terms.

This revolutionary re-evaluation is documented in the book Absolute Image: The Structure of Consciousness in Visual Form and its forthcoming three-volume companion publication Art, Consciousness, and Maharishi Vedic Science.
