Dr. Lawrence Sheaff has recently helped usher in a new and unique centre for the arts, the Academy of Arts for Enlightenment (AAE). Lawrence is a Senior Advisor, member of the Board of Trustees, and head of Visual Arts for the Academy. The AAE is a global educational organisation representing the full revitalisation of the Arts in tune with Natural Law through Maharishi Vedic Science and Technology of Transcendental Meditation. The Academy serves to inspire all involved in the Arts – visual arts and crafts, design disciplines, music, performing arts and writing arts – in the knowledge and experience of unbounded bliss consciousness, the inner Self of everyone – the unified field of natural law.

Lawrence was originally trained in fine art painting, lithography, and etching. He also studied graphic and exhibition design. He became a teacher of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Transcendental Meditation technique in 1971. In that same year Lawrence was invited to form and direct the international design team of Maharishi’s worldwide TM organization.

Working closely with Maharishi for some 18 years on the design of books, poster, and exhibitions, drew Lawrence deeply into the knowledge and experience of unbounded bliss consciousness provided by Maharishi Vedic Science as the complete science of consciousness, the total knowledge of natural law.
