TROLLEY TABLE is a piece that functions as furniture but with an emphasis on sculptural values. It brings together all the basic properties of three-dimensional form in space into a single wholeness.
It is a dialogue between flatness and roundness, between vertical and horizontal, between forms with gravitational weight, and forms that appear to float. It is designed and built in a way that exposes all the details of its structure, and these details are at once both decorative and functional.
The contrast between these components in the piece is more pronounced than found in conventional furniture, which is what gives them their sculptural quality. TROLLEY TABLE presents these dramas of form in a dynamic flow of mutually enriching relationships.
Trolley Table has been given Vedic dimensions from the office of His Excellency Dr Eike Hartmann according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda. Its proportional relationships therefore have been fine-tuned to resonate in harmony with the universal level of Natural Law.
Purity of materials for TROLLEY TABLE has been maintained throughout. It is handcrafted from solid Honduras mahogany guaranteed as conforming to CITES* requirements, and has inlays of gold wire, lapis lazuli, and red and yellow travertine.
